MOU between Kenya Ship Ltd and Kadmos to delivery Training Ship SV My Dream for BMA
Kadmos Kenya has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Kenya Shipyards Limited (KSL) to facilitate the delivery of the training vessel, MV MY DREAM, for Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA). This strategic partnership bridges advanced digital maritime training with critical physical infrastructure to empower the next generation of Kenyan seafarers. Spurred by a generous donation from the Republic of Korea, the Mombasa-based floating classroom will bridge a persistent practical training gap, giving young cadets invaluable, hands-on experience in navigation, marine engineering, and safety operations.
By combining Kadmos Kenya’s focus on accessible, STCW-compliant education with KSL’s premier vessel maintenance and technical expertise, this collaboration takes an ecosystem-wide approach to capacity building. Together, Kadmos, KSL, and BMA are successfully opening clear pathways to international job placements and fueling the region’s booming Blue Economy. This milestone effectively positions Kenya as a premier maritime training hub on the African continent.
